Savoury, green, a little bit of ocean.

Our pesto starts where basil never grew: in the cold sea off Northern Norway. Blanched Arctic kelp — 32% of what's in the can, the highest in our range — with sunflower and pumpkin seeds, garlic and lemon. Rich and deeply savoury, with a quiet touch of ocean where the parmesan used to be. It does everything pesto does: pasta, roasted vegetables, eggs, a very good sandwich. And it's ready the moment the lid comes off.

How to use

  • Stir through hot pasta — one can, two generous plates
  • Spread on sourdough, top with tomato
  • Spoon over roasted vegetables or a fried egg
  • Whisk with olive oil into a salad dressing

Our kelp

Grown by PurSea on lines in our own sea at Rødøy, on the Helgeland coast of Northern Norway. Cold, clear water; no farmland, no fresh water, no fertiliser. Cooked and canned in Lofoten.

Shelf life & storage

Unopened: 3–5 years at room temperature. Opened: refrigerate and use within 3–4 days. No cold chain needed — that's the can doing its job.
